Missouri City: from Quail Valley to Sienna
Missouri City grew from about 4,100 people in 1970 to about 74,000 in 2020. Quail Valley was developed in the late 1960s, Lake Olympia and parts of Riverstone came later, and Sienna, south of Highway 6, is newer still. A garage in Quail Valley and one in Sienna can be 50 years apart in age.

Richmond addresses along the Grand Parkway
The city of Richmond, the Fort Bend County seat, has under 12,000 people. Most Richmond addresses are outside it, in unincorporated communities like Pecan Grove, Long Meadow Farms, Aliana and Harvest Green, with estimates of more than 25,000 homes. Much of that growth followed the Grand Parkway.
If your home is new, give the slab time. Rust-Oleum's instructions say new concrete needs at least 28 days, and a contractor will test the slab before coating.
Clay soils and cracks
Expansive clays make up most of the near-surface soil around Houston, per a University of Houston CIGMAT paper, and slabs move a little as the clay swells and shrinks. Small cracks are filled and ground flat before coating. A crack that keeps opening is a foundation question first.
